Wrapping up season 2 and meeting our alter-ego from a parallel universe

Season 2 is done, and it's time for Malin Leth and Evelina Lundqvist to wrap up and summarise season 2 of Love Zero Waste! Go listen to the episode on our SoundCloud here: Wrapping up season 2!

We share our most significant learnings and insights from the five episodes of season 2. We discuss the turning-off-the-tap allegory, superheroes in mycelium capes, the significance of hacking the system and collaborating, the lack of silver bullets and the importance of creating space for innovation and thinking crazy thoughts, ecosystem services, taboos and convenience contributing to trash and the future of regenerative single-use items. And what would we say if we met our alter-ego from a parallel universe, working for a medium-sized international business with a linear production line?

Throughout season 2 we met with scientists, activists, entrepreneurs, policy makers and other change agents to learn more about their insights in five episodes:

  1. Plastics revolutionised life and is now destroying the planet with Maggie Lee of WWF and Anders Ankarlid of A Good Company.

  2. The change BIG money can accomplish with Reynir Indahl of Summa Equity and Matt Demorais of Unilever.

  3. The magic of composting with Hana Nur Auliana of Waste4Change, Alfred Grand of Vermigrand and Ben Conard of Noissue.

  4. Building zero waste with the three winning teams of Denmark’s Circular Construction Challenge: From waste to biomaterial with Hanne Tine Ring Hansen and Jon Wedersøe Strunge, Reskur with Niels Jakubiak Andersen and Gentrae with Maria Ekblad.

  5. No excuse for single use with Anne-Marie Harant of Erdbeerwoche and Afreen Kamran of Eco.pal.
